How It Helps

The vestibular system works with your eyes and body to keep you balanced and your vision stable as you move. When that system is disrupted, vestibular rehabilitation uses specific eye, head, balance, and movement exercises to reduce symptoms and help the brain adapt.

For BPPV, treatment uses specific repositioning manoeuvres to move displaced inner ear crystals.

What to Expect

Your first visit looks at when symptoms occur, what triggers them, eye movements, balance, walking, and how symptoms respond to changes in head position.

Treatment may include repositioning manoeuvres, gaze stability exercises, motion exercises, balance work, and walking exercises. Some causes of dizziness need further medical investigation, so the assessment also looks for signs that need referral.
