Right Tool for the Right Time
Different problems can benefit from different approaches. Our chiropractors use a range of clinical tools and hands on techniques to help manage pain, restore movement, and support recovery.
Therapeutic Modalities
IFC
Uses medium frequency electrical currents that reach deeper tissues and sensory nerves involved in pain. Used for chronic low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, and other musculoskeletal pain.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Uses high-frequency sound waves to create mechanical and thermal effects that can increase circulation, improve tissue extensibility, and influence cellular activity. Used to support soft-tissue healing and manage pain, inflammation, and swelling.
Treatment Tools
Graston/(IASTM)
Graston is a form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) that uses specialized tools to apply controlled pressure to muscles, fascia, and connective tissue. It can influence pain and range of motion and is used for soft tissue pain, injuries, and movement restrictions.
Vacuum Cupping
Uses negative pressure to lift superficial tissues, creating mechanical stretch and changes in local blood flow and sensory input. Used for chronic neck pain, low back pain, and knee osteoarthritis.
Athletic Taping
Uses rigid or elastic tape to provide external support and sensory input around an injured or painful area. Used for ankle sprains and instability, kneecap pain, and support during sport and activity.
Hands-On Techniques
Active Release Techniques (ART)
Combines targeted pressure with active movement to mobilize muscles, fascia, tendons, and nerves, helping improve tissue mobility and range of motion. Used for soft-tissue pain, restricted movement, and repetitive strain problems.
Fascial Distortion Model (FDM)
Uses targeted hands-on pressure and movement based on patterns of pain and restricted movement to influence fascia and other connective tissues. Used for musculoskeletal pain, low back pain, and restricted shoulder movement.
Mulligan Mobilization
Combines a joint glide with active movement to reduce pain and improve movement and muscle activation. Used for ankle sprains, knee osteoarthritis, and shoulder pain.
Spinal & Extremity Manipulation
Uses a quick, controlled, low amplitude thrust to a spinal or extremity joint to influence movement and sensory input. Used for back pain, neck pain, and selected joint problems.
